## Old Plaster and Dark Corners in Etobicoke?

### Cracked plaster when cutting Kingsway Park ceilings

The problem

A previous installer's hole saw left spiderweb cracks around the new lights, and the old cove moulding got chipped.

Why it happens here

Most Kingsway Park houses went up between 1924 and 1947 with plaster ceilings that crack under a fast cut, and pre-1990 plaster may need an asbestos check first.

## Where Our Company Started

The company started in Etobicoke in 2003, swapping drop-ceiling fluorescents in older homes. **Kingsway Park** alone has 665 homes built between 1924 and 1947, mixed with 1940s and 1950s bungalows, and their plaster ceilings still make up much of our work.

We come from our Vaughan workshop down **Highway 427** or **Islington Avenue**, which puts The Kingsway and Islington Village close at hand. Mimico and Long Branch are reached along **Lake Shore Boulevard West**, and the Kingsway via **Bloor Street West**.

Street parking on older Kingsway and Mimico streets can be tight, so we'll check driveway space during the consultation and plan where the work van goes. For plaster jobs, we bring dust shrouds and extra drop cloths on the first trip.

Single living rooms run $600 to $1,100 depending on ceiling height, fixture count and dimmers. Main floor packages of 10 to 15 lights start at $1,050. Plaster ceilings take more care, which we'll price clearly on your fixed written quote.

Can you remove old fluorescent box lights?
