What Types of Chandelier Installs Do We Handle?
Every chandelier job is a bit different. Here’s what we see most across the GTA.
Dining room swaps
Replacing an older fixture with a new one on existing wiring. It’s our most common chandelier job and often done in a couple of hours.
New location installs
Adding a chandelier where there’s no box yet, like centring one over a new dining table. We run new wiring and install a properly rated box.
Two-storey foyers
Common in Richmond Hill, Vaughan and Kleinburg custom homes. These need scaffolding, careful height planning and often heavy crystal fixtures.
Staircase chandeliers
Hung above the stairs on extension rods or long chains. Scaffolding goes on the steps, and everything’s planned so the fixture’s centred in the stairwell.
How Much Does Chandelier Installation Cost in Toronto?
Pricing runs from $200 for a basic swap to $1,500 for a large crystal chandelier on a staircase.

Ceiling box bracing, dimmer compatibility checks and cleanup are always included.
When Should You Book a Chandelier Install?
Most people call right after they’ve bought a new fixture, often in fall before holiday dinners or in spring after a renovation. If you’re building a custom home, we can rough-in the box and bracing during framing so it’s ready when the fixture arrives. Summer is a good time for foyer work, since doors are open and scaffolding’s easier to move in and out.
Common Chandelier Problems We Fix
Fixture hanging off-centre
The box was placed before the table was set. We move the box or add a swag hook so it hangs over the table.
Sagging or cracked ceiling around the box
The box wasn’t rated for the weight. We brace it properly and patch the ceiling.
Chandelier too high or too low
A common mistake with two-storey foyers. We adjust the chain or rod to the right height.
Flicker on a dimmer
The dimmer doesn’t match the LED bulbs or driver. We swap in a compatible dimmer.
Chandelier vs. Potlights (or Both)
A chandelier is a centrepiece, but it rarely lights the whole room on its own. Potlights spread light evenly but lack drama. Most dining rooms and foyers look best with both: a chandelier for style on one dimmer and a ring of LED potlights for real light on another. We can do both in one visit.
